Cottage Home Neighborhood Association invites the public to once again "Shake-ya- Bones" at their 28th anniversary block party, on Saturday, October 15h from 5:00-11:00 p.m. This Halloween-themed party will be held in the 700 block of Dorman Street, just south of St. Clair Street on Indianapolis' near Eastside. The area features Cottage Home Neighborhood's own neighborhood park and community space with a back drop that includes the wonderful 1890 Ruskaup Mansion, designed by Vonnegut & Bohn, as well as various Victorian-era cottages sprinkled throughout. The Cottage Home Park will feature a host of kids' activities throughout the entire event, with local artists and other vendors peppering the well lit and Halloween theme decorated Dorman Street.

The party kicks off at 5 p.m. Entertainment and artists will be featured throughout the afternoon and evening, including the musical styling of Cottage Home's own Brian Deer, Tad Armstrong, The Unknowns, Glass Halo and other local artists. Join the cozy crowd around the fire pit after dark, and then the yet to be revealed headliner will surely grab everyone's attention from 9-11 p.m. Come enjoy the entire evening as restrooms will be provided.

Children of all ages are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes. Horse drawn hay rides, face painting, games, as well as an interactive presentation by Animalia, Inc. starting at 6:00 p.m. Food and beverages will be available from a variety of vendors, including from Cottage Home's own Becky Hostetter who will be serving up the finest of foods by Duos. Plus, enjoy some of your favorite adult beverages from Lockerbie Pub.

This magical event is FREE to the public. However, for those that can afford it, a suggested donation of $5.00 helps pay for event expenses, entertainment, and future neighborhood projects. Proceeds will include helping the continued development of Cottage Home's Community Space which will feature a community shelter (including consideration for a stage and storage), beehive, green gathering space and gardens (including vegetables, herbs, wildflowers and fruit trees), all of which will bring a unique rural meets urban atmosphere for residents of Cottage Home to host future events.

Cottage Home would like to thanks this years' corporate sponsors who help make this event possible: Marian, Inc., AAA Roofing, Cannon IV, Angie's List and P-M Associates, Inc.
