Cottage Home Tour 2008

Cottage Home Neighborhood Association invites the public to explore their historic neighborhood located just northeast of downtown at the end of Massachusetts Avenue. The weekend kicks-off with a Friday, May 16 evening twilight reception and behind-the-scenes tour showcasing the Vonnegut and Bohn-designed Ruskaup Mansion, as well as the adjacent 1870s brick store currently undergoing restoration. Partiers will enjoy wine and gourmet appetizers created by chef Rebecca Hostetter and listen to the Indianapolis-based trio Tonos Triad while relaxing in the community garden.
The twilight tour reception is scheduled for Friday, May 16, 6:00-9:00 p.m. with reservations due by May 12. The $35 reception cost includes a ticket for the weekend home tour. The home and garden tour is Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $10.00 in advance at Midland Arts and Antiques Market, Fusek's True Value Hardware, Community Choice Federal Credit Union (2811 E. 10th St., Indianapolis), Cit E Scapes, and 15 locations at Marsh Supermarkets. Tickets may also be purchased at each home on the day of the event for $12.00.
